Briody Constructions is a renowned construction company owned by Oscar Briody, who was born and raised on a farm in Bellbrae. Having grown up on the Surf Coast, he has witnessed significant changes in the area, with his childhood school now transformed into a Coles store and the once open fields converted into housing estates. Despite these transformations, Torquay’s essence remains intact, and Oscar always holds true to his roots.

The values instilled in Oscar during his upbringing on the farm have shaped his approach to both business and life. Trust, innovation, dedication, integrity, and quality are the guiding principles that he applies to every project undertaken by Briody Constructions.

With a deep love for building and the outdoors, Oscar pursued an apprenticeship that allowed him to explore breathtaking locations and immerse himself in high-end architectural design projects. Now, as the owner of Briody Constructions, Oscar leads a skilled and experienced team that is committed to delivering high-quality, customised renovations. Their expertise and attention to detail ensure that each project is tailored to the unique needs and desires of their clients.

Oscar

Director

Director of Briody Constructions, Oscar has been working in the building industry for over 10 years. He started his career working in high-end architectural jobs which has provided him the skills and expertise to grow his own business. Oscar has an exceptional eye for detail and ensures that every client and project is delivered with care and to the highest standard.

Outside of work, Oscar is a keen golfer and enjoys being in the outdoors as much as possible; hiking, skiing and being out on the farm.

Shane

Qualified carpenter

Shane has been in the building game since 1988, when he started his apprenticeship in Geelong doing residential building. Since then, he’s worked in many different areas including schools, hospitals, police stations and community centres.

Shane brings a wealth of knowledge to the team with his experience in running his own sub-contracting business for over 15 years. Since joining the Briody Constructions team in early 2022, Shane has enjoyed the variety of work as well as how hard the team works to get the job done.

Outside of work Shane loves to spend time with his family, including his two adult children, who both seem to keep returning home.

Bill

Site supervisor and carpenter

Bill is a passionate carpenter with experience in both residential and commercial construction. With dedication and a keen eye for detail he approaches every endeavour with precision and creativity. Since joining the Briody Constructions team, he has furthered his skill set and is enjoying new opportunities and challenges.

Outside of work, Bill enjoys following sport and is a passionate Essendon supporter and loves getting in the outdoors and fishing.

Jordyn

Accounts and Marketing

Working behind the scenes, Jordyn oversees all things marketing and accounts for Briody Constructions. Everything from making sure the bills are paid on time, assisting with Oscar on quoting, to exploring new advertising opportunities, she makes sure everything is running smoothly on the back end of the business so the team can focus their efforts on our client’s projects.

Outside of work, Jordyn loves to entertain friends and family at home, explore new wineries, restaurants, spending time outside hiking and days at the beach.

Alysha

Business programs

Alysha is a lawyer with extensive experience in safety, compliance, and the development of programs, policies, and organisational change. In her part-time role with Briody Constructions, she supports the team to strengthen and refine business systems and processes.

Outside of this work, Alysha is the Founder of Don’t Forget My Pet, a charity dedicated to helping vulnerable people remain with their pets during times of crisis, with a particular focus on supporting communities across regional Victoria. She enjoys spending her time with her beloved dogs, Digga and Nelson, and connecting with friends.
